I can't seem to style the span element in the intro class the way they want me to. Any tips?

Hi there It looks like you are on challenge 4 of 5?

The question: *"Create a new rule that targets the span element inside .intro. Give the span element a bold font weight and an italic font style." *

/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */

.intro{
font-size:  1.25em;
line-height: 1.6em;
}

//you have "stylish" as your class name on the answer you provided above
.intro span {
  font-style: italic;
  font-weight: bold;
}

Hi there! You're doing great! In fact, your code would have the same effect. However, it does not meet the specific requirements of the challenge. They did not ask you to add a class to the <span> element and this is apparently causing some confusion with the challenge checker.

The code you're looking for is:

.intro span {
  font-style: italic;
  font-weight: bold;
}

This will target all span elements within the intro class. But given that there's only one, it would have the same effect as your code.

It's important to note that these challenges should be taken very literally and it's best to try not to do anything not explicitly asked for. Even if functional, it can cause the challenge to fail.

Hope this helps! :sparkles:
