JavaScript JavaScript Basics Making Decisions in Your Code with Conditional Statements Use Multiple Conditions

I can't understand what am I doing wrong. I've tried using ' money <= 10 and money >= 10 || today === friday'. No bueno

script.js
const money = 9;
const today = 'Friday'

if ( money > 10 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theater.");
} else if ( money >= 50 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner.");
} else if ( money >= 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out.");
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}

Hi Erica, You should use and operator(&&) for all statements. Otherwise, the first statement will be turned true. And then you should use ( money <= 10 && today === 'Friday' ) statement to get the result correctly. Check this

const money = 9;
const today = 'Friday'

if ( money > 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theater.");
} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner.");
} else if ( money <= 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out.");
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}

That worked, thank you!
