I changed the folder name and location of my site after creating and can't log in to my admin although the site works

Working locally, in "htdocs" i created a file called "Sites" then i changed the folder in which i had been working on a treehouse tutorial from "wordpress 2"(downloaded name) to "example". When the local host with "http://localhost:8888/Sites/example/" works but when i add the proverbial "wp-admin/" so that i can make changes, i get "The requested URL /wordpress 2/wp-login.php was not found on this server."

How can i fix this? Can i only change site locations and names before setting up the database and building the site?
