i clicked on cmd+z its not high lighting the something else

i have a macbook and when i clciked the Cmd+z its not responding

Hey there Tenzin, on MacOS using CMD + Z is a shortcut for undo. Typically to select text you would use shift + option and arrow keys or just shift and arrow keys. Hopefully this helps! If you have any questions let me know.
