i don't get it

hi guys i dont get this challenge, how can i use a conditional statement to test the biggest argument inside the function? can you help me please??? thank you all

this is the challenge:"Create a new function named max which accepts two numbers as arguments (you can name the arguments, whatever you would like). The function should return the larger of the two numbers.

HINT: You'll need to use a conditional statement to test the 2 parameters to see which is the larger of the two."

Jason's solution is good, but it can also be expressed more concisely, since when a return is performed in an if, the else is not necessary:

function max(arg1, arg2) {
    if (arg1 > arg2) return arg1;
    return arg2;
}

It can be done even more concisely using the ternary operator:

function max(arg1, arg2) {
    return (arg1 > arg2) ? arg1 : arg2;
}

It's also a good habit (and perhaps a "best practice") to include semicolons (;) at the end of statements.

function max(arg1, arg2){
if(arg1 > arg2) {
      return arg1
     } else {
    return arg2
  }
}

For example you have two numbers you want to check. if first number is bigger than 2nd number return. else it's false return the other number.
