First, your css code needs to look like this. Notice the colon instead of the equals sign. And they then need to be seperated by a semi-colon.

.social-links{
  padding: 15px;
  margin: 10Px ; 

}

Second, your html code doesn't have to class tag in the link.

<a href="#" class= 'social-links'>Follow me on Twitter!</a>
    <a href="#" class= 'social-links'>Send me an Email!</a>
