i dont know how to add an empty method to an object literal

how do u add a method to an object literal

You must first specify the name of the property in the same way you would for any other value. And then as the value you specify an anonymous function (a function with no name) like this:

const player1 = {
    name: 'jen',
    color: 'white',
    isTurn: true,
    play: function() {}
}
