iOS Swift Functions and Optionals Parameters and Tuples Tuples

I don't know how to even begin on this exercise

I truly have no idea where to even begin, I feel like the previous video lessons to this exercise did't at all give any good direction or understanding. Please help with a detailed explanation!

tuples.swift
func greeting(person: String) -> String {
    let language = "English"
    let greeting = "Hello \(person)"

    return greeting
}

1 Answer

functions can return multiple values as well as assign them.

They want you to make a function that allows you to access private data members using the .method

Ex. We declare a person and assign it values using the function created

let Mark = greetings("Mark") /////Declaration
Mark.language will return "English" //// Mark.greeting will return "Hello Mark" func greeting(person: String) -> (greeting: String, language:String) { let language = "English" let greeting = "Hello (person)"

return (greeting, language)

}
