JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Creating Reusable Code with Functions Create a max() Function

I don't know how to finish it

what is wrong with my code

script.js
function max( apple, peach){
return apple, peach;
 alert( Method.random(apple,peach) );

}

1 Answer

1) create the function named max which accepts two parameters, which you have done correctly, but the parameters should accept numbers, not strings.

2) Inside the function, you need to use if / else conditional statements to test which number is bigger and return the bigger number

3) Outside of the function, create an alert that calls the function with any two numbers passed into the parameters

To give you an example:

function myFunction(numOne, numTwo) {

      if (numOne > numTwo){

         return numOne;
} else {
       return numTwo;
}

alert( myFunction(5,6) );
