JavaScript jQuery Basics Introducing jQuery Using text() and html()

I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing here...

I did what the directions said, I'm like 65% sure of it

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
    <title>Document</title>
</head>
<body>
    <h1 class="profile-header"></h1>
    <p class="profile-text"></p>

    <script
    src="jquery-3.2.1.min.js"></script>
    <script src="app.js"></script>
</body>
</html>
app.js
const title= "I am a web developer";

$('.profile-text');.text(title);
