I must be missing something that is being asked of me... but I really thought this method specifically did what is being asked of me.

56,414 PointsYou do want to use notifyDataSetChanged(), but remember it's a method for an Adapter and you are in an Activity which doesn't have that method. You'll need to call that method on the adapter instead of just calling it like it's part of the activity.
