Java Spring Basics Spring Components and Configuring Our App Configure a Spring Application

I don't understand why I have a compiler error here if the question is only asking for the annotation

Can somebody please explain to me what I am doing wrong? I only have to use annotation on class SpringConfig, but the compiler errors indicate illegal start of expression on the import lines

com/teamtreehouse/sample/SpringConfig.java
package com.teamtreehouse.sample;

import org.springframework.boot.SpringApplication;
import org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.EnableAutoConfiguration;

@EnableAutoConfiguration
public class SpringConfig {

}

Here's the exact question: "Apply the appropriate annotation to the application configuration class in SpringConfig.java so that Spring Boot will auto-configure your Spring app upon deployment."

There have been several questions today about Java challenges where the code seems fine. There may be a problem with the challenge validation mechanism.

You might want to make a bug report to the Support staff.
