JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Introducing JavaScript Your First JavaScript Program

I edited the scripts.js as instructed, and pressed the view button. The screen however was empty.

I edited the scripts.js file as instructed in the video [alert ("hello world");]. When pressing the view burron I arrived at an empty browser screen.

did you save the file before preview???

I get a blank box. Are those parenthesis or are you using something else? Never mind It worked!

Before we look at your workspace, let's check some basics. Make sure you've saved the file. If there's an orange dot on the tab, then the file hasn't been saved. Also, make sure you don't have anything that might be blocking popups. If it has been saved, try launching the preview button again and refresh the page. If this still doesn't work, try clearing your browser cache, launch the preview again and refresh the page. If all of this fails we'll need to see a snapshot of your workspace to assist you further. :sparkles:
