CSS How to Make a Website Styling Web Pages and Navigation Style the Portfolio

I entered the same text in the css as in the video, but on page preview I got only one column of images and not two.

In css:

gallery {

margin: 0; padding: 0; list-style: none; }

gallery li { float: left; width: 45%; margin: 2.5%; background-color: #f5f5f5; color: #bdc3c7; }

Result: One colum and not two colums of images.

This is just so I can see it clearer:

gallery {

    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    list-style: none;
    }

gallery li {
    float: left;
    width: 45%;
    margin: 2.5%;
    background-color: #f5f5f5;
    color: #bdc3c7;
    }

rewatching the video:

Did you include the img CSS?

Also noticed you are missing the # before gallery and gallery li to indicate they are ids.

I am assuming you have added the ID's Gallery to the index page?

Thank you for your quick answer! After adding the # before the "gallery li" problem was solved (I did include all the other things you asked me about).
