HTML HTML Basics Going Further with HTML Links and Paths Challenge

I got this message " Are you setting a path that links to the section of the page with the id 'portfolio'?"

I don't know why the /# does not work, so please let me if there is something else I can use instead of/# thanks

index.html

      <li><a href="/">Home</a></li>
      <li><a href="/#">Portfolio</a></li>

The # symbol indicates tha it links to an id but you are missing the id name tha it links to.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Portfolio Page</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <img src="../img/logo.png" alt="Site logo">
    <ul>
      <li><a href="/">Home</a></li>
      <li><a href="/#portfolio">Portfolio</a></li>
    </ul>
    <h1 id="portfolio">My Portfolio</h1>
  </body>
</html>

Thank you for your response but I did that and still getting a same error message.
