HTML Introduction to HTML and CSS (2016) Adding a New Web Page Write the CSS

I have styled my CSS with the border-radius: 50%; but I still have the square image.

.main-image { border: solid 4px black; border-radius: 50px; }

My image border is not round. It remained a squared image. What did I do wrong. I am following the material exactly.
