At the begging of this course there's a new video added regarding this. Please make sure to watch it.
The short answer is that if you learn Swift 2, most of the knowledge you accumulate will be easily transferable to Swift 3, as the new update to language changes some things but not all.
Team Treehouse are recording lessons for Swift 3 (to be released this month), so if you can wait and you're are learning part time, you should wait. Alternatively, you can go ahead and learn Swift 2, they have a series of videos that explain differences between the two, in later courses.
