18,101 PointsI installed MAMP on my Mac (running Yosemite 10.10), changed preferences to port 80, but localhost isn't working. Fix?
I did some googling and Yosemite apparently installs Apache 2.4 which throws a wrench in MAMP. MAMP was updated a few days ago to fix this issue but it's still not working for me. Any fixes?

8,200 PointsHey Jonathan,
seems that renaming
/Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/envvars
to
/Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/_envvars
solves the problems.
You can read more about it here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/25139599/mamp-pro-3-05-on-mavericks-updated-to-yosemite-apache-does-not-start

15,579 PointsNormally in mamp you use port 3306 as your local port or even 8889. I would check that out to ensure that's the correct port your referring to.
