i just signed up for treehouse, not sure how to use android studio, to run emulator

C:\Users\Jordan\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\tools\emulator.exe -avd Nexus_5_API_22_x86 -netspeed full -netdelay none emulator: ERROR: x86 emulation currently requires hardware acceleration! Please ensure Intel HAXM is properly installed and usable. CPU acceleration status: HAX kernel module is not installed!

this is what it told me as i tried to follow the steps. ps i already had android studio because i started learning from a friend and that just didnèthappen still have no clue how to work with android studio. i only understand codeblocks and eclipse.... please help
