Python Django Basics Model Administration First app view

I keep getting "Task 1 is no longer working". Doesn't make much sense. I go back to task 1 and it runs fine.

from django.http import HttpResponse from .models import Article

def article_list(request): counter = len(Article.objects.all()) return HttpResponse("There are " + counter " articles.")

articles/views.py
from django.http import HttpResponse
from .models import Article
# Write your views here

def article_list(request):
    counter = len(Article.objects.all())
    return HttpResponse("There are " + counter " articles.")
