print("Your string is too short.")
elif len(string) < 5:
print("Your string is too long.")

Treehouse TeacherHi there! Henrik Christensen is correct that your logic is reversed for the "too long" and "too short". But above and beyond that, the challenge does not ask you to print anything but rather return the string. Your else statement has a return, but all paths should have a return statement. Your if and elif should also have return statements.
