Task 2

On the next line, establish a connection to the URL using the appropriate method of the 'connection' variable. Then add an int variable named 'httpResponse' and set it using the getResponseCode() method of the 'connection' variable.

It looks like you have the first part of the task completed with connection.connect(); Nice work!

The second part of it you are missing one small piece. The challenge is wanting the getResponseCode() method passed on the connection variable. I don't see that in your code. If you look in the video preceding this challenge at around the 2:55 mark, Mr. Jakuben covers this method.

Post back if you are still stuck.

Happy coding,

Ken

try { URL treehouseUrl = new URL(URL); HttpURLConnection connection = (HttpURLConnection) treehouseUrl.openConnection(); httpResponse connection= getResponseCode(); } This is what I have I have the httpResponse kinda like the one above it. Then Im using the variable connection... Im still kinda stuck I have an idea but its not working.

Thsi works int code = connection.getResponseCode();
