I still don't understand <nav>. Can anyone provide an explanation?

I just feel like it was unnecessarily thrown into the code.

I just finished the video for this and am new to HTML but, unless I'm mistaken, it's used to wrap links within your website. I gather it's particularly useful for software (such as the text to speech software he was talking about) to read your code, rather than being impactful on what the user will see.
