i think i have the solution need some hint if i am wrong

i think solution is there. not sure what i did wrong. Please let me know if i am missing something.

Looks like you missed a dot before external (dot . is needed in jQuery when targeting a class)

$(".external").attr("target","_blank");

Other than that, your code is fine.
