I used the same sites that were used as examples and now that i try to connect with cyberduck it states it cant connect.

the only thing i did different than nick was buy my own domain name and my own password and username but even so cyberduck keeps on telling me my connection failed when trying to do the sftp connection. can anybody help me get unstuck? i cant find a solution.

Many hosts provide instructions or even downloadable files that will actually configure the options automatically in your favorite FTP client. You may check out your specific host's documentation for configuring SFTP.
