I want to buy an apple laptop. Does anyone know if you can get a discount through treehouse?

No, I don't believe so. Apple is not a fan of discounts.

If you're a student enrolled in an accredited university, you may or may not be able to get a discount if you're able to get to an apple store and show proof of classes. I'd call and check first, and I know that's not always the easiest to do. I live in a city of 300,000 people and the closest apple store is almost 3 hours away still.

Sure, no problem. On a side note, certified refurbished isn't a bad way to go. Apple actually does a pretty good job with their refurbished equipment, including they reskin them so it's all new on the exterior.

A lot of fellow college students bought certified refurbished and it seemed they held up fine for them. If my memory servers me, I think I got $100 off my macbook pro by going to an apple store and showing proof of being a student. But that was now 7 years ago...but hey, I'm still using that mbp.
