I wish he would explain how he knew which things to link

photoHTML += '<li class="grid-25 tablet-grid-50">'; photoHTML += '<a href="' + photo.link + '" class="image">'; photoHTML += '<img src="' + photo.media.m + ' "></a></li>';

He tells us WHAT we are linking, but not how he determined that he needed to link those specific things.

Anyone else figure it out?

The API documentation on the flickr development website is where you'd find the descriptions of the data fields. From that you can determine which things to link.
