iOS Build a Simple iPhone App with Swift Views and View Controllers IBOutlet

If I drag my label or button to the assistance editor they move the whole thing not what it should do

how can I fix that problem because I have to drag them to the ViewController so that there can be some action on them

Are you holding Ctrl down at the same time as dragging?

That should leave the button where it is and drag a line into the code where you can amend the type of action/outlet you want.
