Illustrator says I can't save my file because brush strokes aren't rastersized?

I kind of expected this to happen, because I started noticed all of these paths being created from my brush and I knew it would be too much for the application to handle, but I went with it anyways and now I lost my file...

I was using the (air) brush to put some finishing touches on my guy and then when I went to save it... it said it couldn't and that I had to restersize the picture first. I can't find where/how to do this. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be much appreciated!
