I'm following the instructions exactly. I don't understand the error message NameError: name 'name' not defined.

The instructions say to write an email and begin the string by setting a value to your name. So I complete the first step by typing name=nova.

NameError: undefined name

Hi Nova,

You have to put quotes around your name so that python knows it's a string.

name = "nova"
