Business Careers Foundations Personal Branding Establishing Yourself Online

I'm unsure of branding my name on social media due to being a victim of domestic violence. Safety Suggestions?

I am excited to move on to a new career and embrace uncertainty! I am a resilient women and have faced challenges in the past with domestic violence. I have been reluctant to post my information online due to being afraid the perpetrator will harass me. Is it still possible to brand my name and are there any suggestions for online safety measures?

Maybe use a pen name and no pictures from your world/life that may help the wrong people identify you.

If your only concern is a known person, I'd say don't let them influence your choices — do exactly as you would if they weren't around. If they harass you, pursue legal/criminal charges against them.

Did you have legal action from the previous instances with them? That would make a follow-up charge even easier to pursue.
