Image Background Sizes

How do you determine the sizes to use for the background? I'm wanting them to work for iOS 7 and Up.

Here is a website that I always use for this purpose: iOSRes. Please note that the background size can depend on whether you are using a navigation bar or tab bar because these can change the size, but if you are looking for the entire background, that website should be of use.
