iOS Build a Simple iPhone App (iOS7) Designing your App Programming a Background Image

Image Size

Good evening,

I have a problem with my code. For some reason programming the background image results in an image that is much smaller than it needs to be once the program is ran. Is there any way to fix this ?

-Justin

can I see your code.

.

Sure!

heres my .h file:

import <UIKit/UIKit.h>

@class JTCrystalBall;

@interface JTViewController : UIViewController

@property (strong, nonatomic) IBOutlet UILabel *predictionLabel;

@property(strong, nonatomic) JTCrystalBall *crystalBall;

  • (IBAction)buttonPressed;

@end

and here's my .m file:

import "JTViewController.h"

import "JTCrystalBall.h"

@interface JTViewController ()

@end

@implementation JTViewController

  • (void)viewDidLoad {

    [super viewDidLoad];

    self.crystalBall = [[JTCrystalBall alloc] init];

    UIImage *backgroundImage = [UIImage imageNamed:@"background"];

    UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:backgroundImage];

    [self.view insertSubview:imageView atIndex:0];

}

  • (void)didReceiveMemoryWarning

{ [super didReceiveMemoryWarning];

}

  • (IBAction)buttonPressed {

    self.predictionLabel.text = [self.crystalBall randomPrediction];

}

@end
