image with transparent background invisible

I have an image I'm trying to put as my logo for an app I'm creating. I made the image myself in Photoshop, and set the background to transparent. Unfortunately when I try to use the image with transparent background color it doesn't show up at all in the app. If I use a white background color it does show up. here are some screen shots of what I'm talking about transparent: https://ibb.co/fNx8Bvv white background: https://ibb.co/3ys3KH4

my xml code is pretty simple but I'll include it just in case.
