HTML Treehouse Club: HTML Publish a Story Comments and Doctype

in eclipse to add comment was to use "//" and now in treehouse its ''<--" why does this vary

i want to know if it changes because im using a different programming software

It changes because it's a different language :smiley: JavaScript, C# and others use //. HTML uses <!-- and --> for comments. Different languages have different commenting rules and styles.
