Inserting a new row into the table doesn't appear in the pivot table. How so?

I have followed the video exactly, but still no success.

Right-click on the pivot table, and select "Refresh" from the pop-up context menu. If there's still no change, it's possible that the pivot table is applying filter criteria that excludes the new row based on the data in it.
