Installing Workbench on OS X

I've done the installation but when I test the connection I get "Failed to Connect to MySQL at localhost:3306 with user root. Can't connect to MySQL server on '...'. Manage Server Connections fields all match the ones on Andrew's video. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Alan, what version are you installing? The one he uses is an older version.
