IntelliJ autovsave

I am just wondering, is there any need for me to be constantly saving on IntelliJ as I am writing code just as is required on a Word Document, or IntelliJ autosaves in real time (as I am writing code).

IntelliJ autosaves by default whenever you pause in editing a file (somewhere between 8 and 15 seconds IIRC; it's adjustable in settings.). So you don't ever have to manually save a file.
