Intro to HTML and CSS video: trying to edit code but it doesn't affect how the web page looks

I am trying to follow the instructions in this video which shows you how to edit css code. It changes the background colour of a text box. I try to replicate the instructor's actions but it is has no effect on the sample webpage created for this tutorial.

It is hard to say what the problem is without seeing your code. Make sure you are saving your changes in workspaces every time. When I first started I would often not save and struggle to find what I had done wrong.
