iOS Sidescroller Design

I am currently working on iOS Development with Swift and I want to eventually create a classic side scroller mobile game. I was wondering if the TeamTreeHouse courses would be enough to get me to this level or would I have to look elsewhere after I am finished the intermediate Swift? Also are there any courses I could take that would show me how to animate an app like this? I know there are courses to teach me how to draw static characters and assets but I don't know how to make them move. Where should I look?
