iOS Swift Enums and Structs Enums Enum Members and Raw Values

IOS Swift Enums Why would be a use case of creating instance of Enum?

Hi All I'm just curious. Why would we create a new instance of an Enum? Can someone shed some light over this mystery with an example maybe ? Real world use case?

Just FYI Code I'm referring to is:

if let firstDayOfWeek = Day(rawValue: 1) { daysTillWeekend(firstDayOfWeek) }

Thanks in advance
