Hey Pasan Premaratne or other Treehouse staff, will the iOS Techdegree get updated soon? I noticed there is still a course with Swift 2? Just curious.
Update 19 Feb: Since i haven't received a response, can anyone else assist me with a answer?
Thanks in advance! :)

Treehouse TeacherApologies for the delay! There are indeed a few courses in the Techdegree that are still in Swift 2. Couple reasons why:
There are higher priority updates earlier in the content list that we need to make that affects a larger number of courses. For example while technically not outdated, all the courses that use some web API to request JSON doesn't parse it in the "right way". Swift 4 introduced a set of protocols that allows the language to do more of the work for you. We're working on producing content that introduces this first because its earlier in the Techdegree.
Most of the Swift 2 content is at the very end of the Techdegree. In general we've noticed that by the time students get to that section, they're so comfortable with Swift that the language version doesn't confuse them. In fact we've had little to no feedback about the language version on those courses. So while we do plan on updating them, we want to clean up a few things in the beginner to intermediate section of the Techdegree first.
Does that make sense? The summarized response is yeah we want to update it, but we want to introduce the newer things to you earlier on as well so we're trying to maintain that balance

Treehouse TeacherHI there! I received your request for assistance. Unfortunately, I'm not Treehouse staff and cannot really answer this question. You posted it on Saturday and the following Monday is a national holiday in the US. Likely as not, staff will not return to their offices until Tuesday.
If you ever have questions that you believe cannot be answered by fellow students then your best option to get a timely and accurate answer is to send an email to help@teamtreehouse.com.
I hope you get an answer soon! (I'm also a little curious as to what that answer is)
