is attempt_count a function?

Hi!

I do not understand how attempt_count works. It seems to me from the video like it is a simple variable but apparently it isn't.

In other terms, from what function does the system know to count the number of attempts ?

Thanks in advance!

David

You are correct that attempt_count is a simple variable that points to an integer value. In each loop the integer is incremented by 1. In the code, the maximum number of attempts is hard coded to 3 in the if statement.
