Is the wp-config.php file accessible on my computer ie. user>downloads>wordpress (i can only find wp-sample-config.php)?

Is this the file I need to access in order to edit? If not, how do I go about accessing the exact file/updating it/ possessing my actual information rather than displaying default blanks ie.password db name.

Thanks

You need to edit the wp-config-sample.php file with your actual DB name and credentials; then re-save the file as wp-config.php and upload that to your server.

Thank you. What is the DB name etc based on? Hosting or wordpress?

The Database name and credentials come from your host.
