Is there a good book or resource out there that covers the topic of problem solving.

I am interested in learning more about problem solving either for design perspective or for the development process as well

I just read this book which has great insight into innovation and problem solving. Loved it and it has a ton of references at the end too for other books.

This was also a classic and a quick read. Targeted for writers and ad men but the process can be applied across disciplines.

Hi Emmanuel, problem solving encompasses a wide variety of tools across a number of disciplines and as such it is often daunting to go about solving problems that on a surface level appear complex or beyond our reach. However, adopting elements of 'Systems thinking' will teach you to perceive the world and its problems in a way that naturally stimulates the kind of creative and rational thought patterns that are required to solve problems in a number of different contexts.

This blog post provides a nice overview of what 'Systems thinking' is and it also links to a number of additional resources that will most certainly assist you in developing the skills needed to be a system thinker!
