Is this bugged?

I'm told to define varl as a string or list.
varl = "abcdet"
when I hit check I get a NameError?

Hello Michael.

Please note that you have defined the varl variable (with a trailing "l"), the code challenge is asking for a var1 variable (last character should then be the number one).

Hi Michael,

I think it is the font that is confusing, but it should be var1 (var-one), not varl (var-L).

haha wow, that was embarrassing, thanks again for your time and pointing that out. Worked a double, my attention to detail is lacking at this point!
