Python Python Basics (Retired) Things That Count Exceptions

Is this logic?

Whay cant i use if . in our_num: Instead of if "." in user_num:

please help

When the Python interpretor parses the line, the raw character . does not have any value as in object.

The in operator (docs) takes two arguments, both must be objects. Putting quotation marks around the . makes it a string object.
