it says i need to assign the property to the text of quoteLabel but I think I am

import "THViewController.h"

@implementation THViewController

// Add your code below @property (strong, nonatomic) IBOutlet UILabel *quoteLabel; -(IBAction) buttonPressed { _quoteLabel.text = "@The road to success is always under construction"; }

@end

You need to remove the "_".

You never access instance variables directly outside the setters or getters of a property. Assign the value to the property via its setter like this:

self.quoteLabel.text = @"The road to success is always under construction";
