It works when I test in a Workspace but returns an error here?!

Tested in python 2 and 3 and it works well but returns 'str' object has no attribute 'append' on the challenge page. Any suggestions?

# If you use .append(), you'll want to pass it a tuple of new values.

Interesting solution, and you're really close. Here's a few hints:

  • for the challenge, you only define the function, don't call it
  • you also won't need to define any global test variables
  • move your definition of output into the function

That should get you going.
