CSS CSS Basics (2014) Basic Selectors ID and Class Selectors

It's asking me to give the header element a class id and define as main-header. What am I missing?

Doesn't one define an element with id="<classname>"?

Re-read the question carefully :) It is asking for a class not an id

Challenge Task 1 of 6

Give the header element a class attribute. Then, set the class value to main-header.

As Shawn says, in the line: <header id="main-header"> Replace id with class and you're good to go.
